A pilot threatens to crash the plane into a Walmart in Mississippi

After the shop has been evacuated, the police invite them to get as far away as possible from the town of Tupelo. The aircraft is stolen

A Walmart store was evacuated in Tupelo, in the northern US state of Mississippi, after a small plane pilot threatened to crash. The plane, a Beechcraft King Air C90A that is learned to have been stolen, began circling over Tupelo at about five a.m. local time, noon in Italy. Hours later it moved, continuing its circular flight over a Toyota plant in the neighboring town of Blue Spring.

The town’s police department urged the population to stay as far away from the area as possible, said they had established direct contact with the pilot and were working to establish the reason for the threat. Several federal agencies are participating in the investigation, including the Department of Homeland Security.

Post from the Tupelo Police Department

Governor Tate Reeves tweeted that he was jointly monitoring the situation with the police.
