After 10 days of closure, Nord Stream returns to pump gas to Europe

Closed for maintenance on 11 July, the gas pipeline that carries gas to Europe has started pumping “black gold” up to 40% in Europe and increasing the volume (+ 71.4% compared to yesterday)

“Gazprom announced today the delivery of gas volumes of approximately 36 million cubic meters, compared to daily deliveries of approximately 21 million cubic meters made in recent days”. It was President Putin himself who ensured compliance with the contract.

The pipeline reopened as scheduled at 07.00 Moscow time according to the Ukrainian gas transport operator Ogtsu, Gazprom supplies through Ukraine also continue, which today should reach 42.4 million cubic meters. The gas flows from Nord Stream 1 now travel at 29.3 million kwh / h, ie the “pre-maintenance levels”.

For Thursday – it is explained – volumes of gas equal to those supplied by Nord Stream before maintenance were requested for about 67 million cubic meters per day. In any case – it should be noted – that it will take some time before the pipeline is fully operational. The volumes of gas for 67 million cubic meters per day – observes a representative of Nord Stream – are equivalent to approximately 40% of the utilization rate of the pipeline.
