The Federal Armed Forces marched on Monday on the occasion of the upcoming national holiday with tanks and helicopters at Heldenplatz. On the national holiday there is again the traditional exhibition at Heldenplatz.
After a two-year break, the military is offering everything it has for its exhibition this year. At noon, three helicopters landed in the middle of Heldenplatz to great public interest. At the same time, tanks and other vehicles also drove in. Defence Minister Klaudia Tanner (ÖVP) personally welcomed the arriving soldiers.
The national holiday on Wednesday traditionally begins with wreath-laying ceremonies by Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen and the Federal Government. Afterwards, the grand inauguration takes place at Heldenplatz and a flyover with two Eurofighters and a C-130 Hercules. After two CoV years with restrictions, 1,000 recruits will be sworn in again. Finally, parachutists land at Heldenplatz.
