Gazprom’s latest warning: “We cannot guarantee the smooth running of Nord Stream”

In a statement, the Russian gas giant announces that it does not know if Siemens is able to take the gas turbine necessary for the Portovaya compressor station, near the border with Finland, out of Canada, where it is undergoing repairs.

Gazprom cannot guarantee the proper functioning of the Nord Stream gas pipeline: the Russian company announced this in a statement. “Gazprom does not possess any documents that would enable Siemens to get the gas turbine engine for the Portovaya compressor station out of Canada, where that engine is currently undergoing repairs. In these circumstances, it appears impossible to reach an objective conclusion on further development regarding the safe operation of the Portovaya CS, (located near the border with Finland, ed.), A fundamental structure for the Nord Stream pipeline”
