There is also Europe to trace the connection between southern Dalmatia with the Pelješac peninsula (Pelješac in Italian): a passage that will guarantee the connection between Dubrovnik and the rest of Croatia without Bosnian border crossings. Last year, the last of the 167 bridge segments of a project that has struggled to take off several times was put down. The European contribution has certainly accelerated the construction that will become part of the Adriatic-Ionian motorway. The works were carried out by the Chinese company China Road and Bridge Corporation.
