Iraq, protesters enter Parliament

60 people were reportedly injured

New raids in parliament in Iraq by supporters of the Iraqi Shiite leader Moqtada Sadr. The Iraqi media report it. The demonstrators broke down some barriers and managed to penetrate the green area of Baghdad.

The police used tear gas and water cannons and 60 people were reportedly injured. A first blitz took place last Wednesday in protest against Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani’s candidacy for prime minister, supported by the former premier’s rival Shiite party.
