Monkeypox, WHO: -25.5% of cases worldwide in 7 days

Slow down the monkeypox epidemic. According to the World Health Organization, 5,029 cases occurred in the week between 29 August and 4 September, a decrease of 25.5% compared to the previous week. Overall, as of 5 September there are 52,997 confirmed cases, 398 probable and 18 deaths. To date, the ten most affected countries are the United States, where more than a third of global cases are concentrated (19,351), Spain (6,645), Brazil (5,197), France (3,646), Germany (3,493), Great Britain (3,413) ), Peru (1,546), Canada (1,289), Holland (1,172) and Portugal (871).
