Musk bans Twitter employees from working from home

In his first email to Twitter employees, Elon Musk told Twitter employees that he would no longer allow them to work from home and that he expects them to spend at least 40 hours a week in the office, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday.

Musk, the multibillionaire who took over the social network for $44 billion just two weeks ago, laid off half of his employees and several executives and announced a slew of new measures, including charging $8 for a Twitter Blue subscription.

Musk has told employees he wants Twitter to take half of its revenue from subscriptions, according to a Bloomberg report.

When Twitter reopened its offices in March, employees were told they could still work from home if they wanted to.
