Norway helps Ukraine with 195 million dollars in gas procurement

The Norwegian government announced today that it has decided to help Ukraine buy gas for next winter in the amount of 195 million dollars.

The funds, which are part of the previously announced aid package of 10 billion kroner, will go through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

“It is important that the support is channeled through an established, internationally recognized organization that will ensure efficient and transparent use of the funds,” Norwegian Market Finance Minister Slagsvold Vedum said in a statement.
