Poland has planned to deploy security cameras and motion detectors across its eastern border, due to international security threats as a result of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine.
This electronic defense investment reaches the value of 75 million euros, while it is planned to enter into operation in September of 2023, writes the newspaper “Rzeczpospolita”.
With this, Poland has planned to build a large electronic barrier on the Russian border, to protect the 200-kilometer border.
The border will be equipped with various electronic security measures such as a detector system, including seismic sensors and night cameras, to verify incoming signals, the newspaper writes.
According to officials, special algorithms will be used to distinguish the footsteps of individuals from sounds made by wild animals.
Poland has tried to prevent smuggling by installing a similar system on the border with Ukraine several years ago.
