Russia makes the unexpected move, one of the missiles that fell in Kyiv had parts of a nuclear warhead installed

A Russian missile shot down over Kyiv was fitted with a dummy nuclear warhead, local Ukrainian media quoted officials as saying.

The missile, which was shot down yesterday, was originally intended to carry a nuclear payload but was instead fitted with a dummy, Ukraine’s strategic armed communications center told the Ukraine-based Defense Express newspaper.

“Simply put, for this strike, the Russians took at least one Kh-55 missile from their nuclear arsenal, unscrewed the nuclear warhead and replaced it with a dummy before firing it at Ukraine,” the center said.
