Russia returns to the grain agreement

Russia has said that it will return to the agreement that enables the export of wheat products from Ukraine. Moscow has suspended participation at the weekend, threatening to escalate the food crisis around the world. The Russian Ministry of Defense has said that it has received written guarantees from Kyiv that the corridor in the Black Sea, for transporting grain, will not be used for military operations against Russia. The Russian blockade has resulted in global food shortages and rising prices, as Ukraine and Russia are among the world’s largest suppliers of the grain.
