The attack last night in Lenasia, unknown assailants opened fire on a group of men who were playing dice on a street corner
Unknown assailants opened fire on a group of men playing dice on a street corner in a Johannesburg suburb, killing four and wounding two others. The police made it known.
The attack last night in Lenasia came a week after 20 people were killed in two separate shootings, 16 in a bar in nearby Soweto and another four in a tavern in the eastern city of Pietermaritzburg.
An investigation was launched and police said they had launched a manhunt to find the perpetrators.
Shooting is frequent in South Africa, which has one of the highest murder rates in the world, fueled by gang violence and alcohol.
