Taiwan: another US delegation in Taipei, the governor of Indiana received by the president

The list of American politicians who go to the island is getting longer, three weeks after Pelosi’s visit which sparked the furious reaction of Beijing and military exercises

The state of diplomatic tension between the United States and China continues: the president of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, received the governor of the state of Indiana, Eric Holcomb, who led the third US delegation to Taipei in a month. A gesture that will not go unnoticed for Beijing, three weeks after the trip of Nancy Pelosi who kicked off the China-US tug-of-war, with the massive military exercises of the dragon.

This is the third visit of a US delegation to the island in just one month (after Pelosi, the recent visit of Senator Ed Markey): an action that risks irritating China again in a moment of strong tension between the two countries on the global geopolitical chessboard.
