Several airports in Spain have closed their airspace due to parts of a Chinese missile falling uncontrollably.
Airports in Barcelona, Tarragona, Ibiza and Reus have closed airspace. These airports are expected to be closed for around 40 minutes, while in Ibiza it could last up to 3 hours.
A spokesman for the Civil Protection Agency of Catalonia confirmed: “Due to the risk associated with the passage of the CZ-5B space object crossing Spanish airspace, flights have been canceled from 9:38 to 10:18 in Catalonia.
“Eurocontrol has informed us about the uncontrolled entry of a Chinese rocket into the Earth’s atmosphere.”
