The German government has set aside an extra one billion euros from its 2023 budget to support Ukraine.
A document showed that some of the money has been allocated to defending Ukraine against Russian cyberattacks and collecting evidence of war crimes.
“Ukraine’s budget makes it clear that our support goes beyond important and necessary arms shipments. We are investing massively in peace in Europe and Ukraine,” said Robin Wagener, the Green lawmaker who chairs the Ukraine caucus.
Germany is the third largest military donor to Ukraine.
