USA. CNN: The African American killed by the police was handcuffed

Walker, 25, was killed on the night of June 27 in Akron, Ohio, following a car chase. The young man did not stop at the police halt and ran away for a few kilometers, ending up in a parking lot

Jayland Walker, the African American killed by police with sixty gunshots, was handcuffed when the body arrived at the morgue for examination. This is what appears from the report drawn up by the doctor in charge of the autopsy. CNN reports that he was able to see the medical report but not to be able to make copies.

The photos show the body with handcuffs on the wrists. Some also contain evidence of attempts to save his life, including what appear to be tourniquets and bandages applied to his body.

Walker, 25, was killed on the night of June 27 in Akron, Ohio, following a car chase. The young man did not stop at the police halt and ran away for a few kilometers, ending up in a parking lot. Here Walker had attempted an unlikely escape on foot, but the officers killed him, firing more than ninety shots at close range, of which about sixty hit.

Protests broke out among citizens, who demonstrated against yet another police brutality. The mayor of Akron has decreed a curfew, from 9 in the evening to 6 in the morning, to prevent possible devastation.
